Royals' Chien-Ming Wang: Placed on DL

Wang was placed on the DL with bicep tendinitis, Joel Goldberg of FoxSports.com reports.

Wang has a lofty 4.22 ERA for the year, but had shown improvement in recent games. Over his last five outings, he allowed just two runs across 11 innings. However, his season-long troubles with walks continued, as he allowed four in that time. Brooks Pounders was recalled from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move.
