Ryan Cook: Will play in Japan in 2019

Cook agreed to a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Yomiuri Giants, the Japan Times reports.

Cook appeared in 19 games for the Mariners in 2018, logging a 5.29 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 23 strikeouts in 17 innings of relief. At age 31, he may finish his career in Japan.
