Nogosek declined his outright assignment to Triple-A Syracuse by the Mets on Tuesday and elected free agency, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.
Nogosek passed through waivers unclaimed after he was designated for assignment by the Mets on Friday. The right-hander is now free to sign with another club.
