Tigers' Kerry Carpenter: Sitting down against lefty

Carpenter isn't in the Tigers' lineup Saturday versus the Orioles, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Carpenter and his .408 OPS against southpaws will ride the pine Saturday against left-hander Cade Povich and the O's. As a result, Justyn-Henry Malloy will enter the lineup as Detroit's designated hitter and bat fifth.
