Tigers' Miguel Del Pozo: Designated for assignment

Del Pozo was designated for assignment by the Tigers on Wednesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Del Pozo was sent down by the Tigers in late March after he gave up five runs in one inning across two relief appearances this spring. He'll now lose his spot on the 40-man roster, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be claimed on waivers after posting a 2.82 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 38.1 innings across 34 relief appearances at Triple-A Toledo last year.
