Wright was handed a three-game suspension Saturday for intentionally throwing at Shohei Ohtani on Thursday, but he's elected to appeal and won't begin serving the ban yet, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
If Wright had elected to begin serving the suspension right away, he'd be eligible to return Tuesday. It's not clear exactly which games he'll miss, if any. Manager Tony LaRussa was handed a one-game ban and will serve it Saturday.
