Ben Peoples RP | TEX
Rangers' Ben Peoples: Moves up from Round Rock
Texas recalled Peoples from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
The Rangers cleared a spot on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen for Peoples by placing Cole Winn (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list. Over his two previous stints with the Rangers this season, Peoples made 14 relief appearances and pitched to a 2.51 ERA and 1.19. WHIP across 14.1 innings.

Robby Ahlstrom RP | TEX
Rangers' Robby Ahlstrom: Back with Texas
The Rangers recalled Ahlstrom from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
Just four days after being sent down to Round Rock, Ahlstrom is back with the big-league club. His numbers with Texas this season include a 3-1 record, 6.03 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB over 31.1 innings. The Rangers placed Peyton Gray (elbow) on the 15-day injured list, freeing a spot on the active roster for Ahlstrom.

Cole Winn RP | TEX
Rangers' Cole Winn: Out with rotator cuff strain
The Rangers placed Winn on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right rotator cuff strain.
Winn hadn't pitched since Tuesday, when he allowed two runs on five hits over 1.1 innings in a relief appearance against the White Sox. The Rangers haven't revealed the severity of Winn's strain, but he won't be eligible for activation until at least Sept. 12 as a result of the transaction. Texas recalled right-hander Ben Peoples from Triple-A Round Rock to replace Winn in the bullpen.

William Dion RP | WAS
Nationals' Will Dion: First MLB start on tap
Dion is slated to start Monday's game against the Marlins at Nationals Park.
After being deployed as a bulk reliever behind an opener in four of his last five appearances, Dion will get the chance to make his first MLB start Monday. Since the 26-year-old lefty hasn't tossed more than 64 pitches in any of his big-league appearances to date, he'll likely be operating with a restricted workload and could struggle to reach the five innings he would need to hit to qualify for a win. Acquired from the Guardians on Aug. 3, Dion has pitched effectively since joining the Nationals, turning in a 2.45 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 16:6 K:BB over 14.2 innings.

Peyton Gray RP | TEX
Rangers' Peyton Gray: Shelved with elbow inflammation
Texas placed Gray on the 15-day injured list Monday due to right elbow inflammation.
The 31-year-old has struggled over his last 15 appearances out of the Texas bullpen, registering a 5.17 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 16:4 K:BB through 15.2 innings. The Rangers recalled Robby Ahlstrom from Triple-A Round Rock to replace Gray in the bullpen and on the 26-man active roster.

Joe Jimenez RP | ATL
Braves' Joe Jimenez: Progressing, but iffy to pitch in 2026
Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Monday that Jimenez (knee) has been responding well after bullpen sessions the past few weeks, but the skipper acknowledged that a return from the 60-day injured list this season would still be a "giant leap," Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.
On the mend after undergoing a third surgery on his left knee in the spring, Jimenez is making good progress in his recovery. Per Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the right-hander threw a 20-pitch side session at Truist Park and took part in pitcher's fielding practice Monday. It's unlikely the 31-year-old will have enough time to check all of the boxes needed to return before the end of the regular season, however. Jimenez hasn't pitched in a game since October 2024.

Reynaldo Lopez RP | ATL
Braves' Reynaldo Lopez: Another rehab start awaits
Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Monday that Lopez (knee) is expected to make another rehab start this week before being activated from the 15-day injured list, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.
Lopez has covered nine innings between his first two rehab starts with Triple-A Gwinnett, striking out five batters while allowing four runs on 11 hits and one walk. Though the right-hander could be headed for the bullpen once he's activated from the IL, Atlanta is giving Lopez the chance to get stretched out as a starter in case he's needed to fill a spot in the big club's six-man rotation during September. Before landing on the IL on Aug. 2 due to left knee inflammation, Lopez had started in each of his last six appearances for Atlanta and logged a 3.86 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB across 28 innings.

Garrett Crochet RP | BOS
Red Sox's Garrett Crochet: Plays catch off mound
Crochet (lat/shoulder) was spotted playing catch off the mound Monday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
Crochet has taken the latest step forward in his throwing progression as he works his way back from left shoulder and lat discomfort, which has kept him out of commission since late April. The southpaw won't have enough time to rebuild his stamina to return as a starting pitcher, but the Red Sox are optimistic that he can contribute as a reliever at some point in September.
