The loss of Heat G Dwyane Wade (shoulder) should create a much bigger offensive role for C Shaquille O'Neal, but he won't be able to absorb all of the 28.8 ppg or any of the 7.9 apg that the team will be losing for at least the next 4-6 weeks. Expect Jason Williams to take on the No. 2 scoring role at least to begin with and there will be a big need for Antoine Walker to step up along with James Posey at the small forward spot. Jason Kapono should also see a boost in shot attempts with Eddie Jones also seeing an increased role. ... The loss of Nuggets G J.R. Smith (knee) in Denver likely won't pave the way for a new Fantasy star. Instead, expect his 15.4 ppg to be distributed among the dynamic duo of Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson. ... The fallout from the NBA trade deadline wasn't as grandiose as many had anticipated and the three minor deals that went down will have minimal Fantasy impact over the coming weeks. Perhaps the biggest winner from a statistical standpoint was Hawks G Anthony Johnson. He was buried in Dallas due to the overflow of talent on a stacked roster. That won't be the case in Atlanta as the team continues to carry on without much depth at the point guard position. Just a year ago, Johnson averaged 9.2 ppg and 4.3 apg off the bench for the Pacers and could be used in a similar role now with the Hawks. ... The most added player in CBS SportsLine leagues this week was Cavaliers F Anderson Varejao. That's too bad, because his days as a starter are numbered. He has done a wonderful job of filling in for Zydrunas Ilgauskas while he tends to a personal matter, but coach Mike Brown said he will return to the bench whenever Big Z is able to return. ... Injured Rockets C Yao Ming (knee) predicted last week that he could be back in as soon as two weeks. That's not likely to happen. Rockets team physician Tom Clanton said this week that while his progress has been "exceptionally good", he doesn't expect to see him return for at least the next few weeks. His return is still slated for mid-March. ... Injured Bucks F Charlie Villanueva (shoulder) believes cortisone injections may have prevented him from requiring season-ending shoulder surgery. During an interview on NBA TV on Friday, he said the pain had subsided to the point where he could be back sooner rather than later. ... Pistons G Richard Hamilton was deactivated in 14 percent of SportsLine leagues this week as a result of a finger injury that he sustained at the All-Star game. When he scored only 12 points against the Bucks on Tuesday, it sounded an alarm in the Fantasy world. He bounced back with 18 on Wednesday against the Magic, though, and appears to be able to play through whatever pain he is dealing with. ... Jazz F Carlos Boozer (knee) is slated to return this weekend. That should give Fantasy owners a good sense as to whether he's healthy enough to activate for the upcoming week.

The following five teams have the best matchups for the upcoming week. That doesn't necessarily mean they will post the best Fantasy stats, but if you're looking for a one-week start or are trying to make a difficult decision between two players to use, lean toward players from these teams:
Team 2/26 2/27 2/28 1/1 1/2 1/3 1/4
Charlotte Bobcats (CHA) @LAC -- @SAC @POR -- -- @SEA
West Coast swings have been very fruitful for East Coast teams. Maybe not so much in the win column, but certainly in the important stat categories that Fantasy GMs care about. The Clippers, Kings, Blazers and Sonics allow an average of 99.9 ppg combined this season. Look to the 'Cats for stopgap options this week.
Indiana Pacers (IND) -- PHO -- -- @PHO @LAC --
The Suns are one of the elite teams in the NBA, but it's no secret that they can't stop other teams from scoring. So forgive us for thinking that two tilts in one week against one of the top teams in the NBA is a great thing for Fantasy owners. The Suns allow an average of 103.3 ppg and that trend should continue.
New Jersey Nets (NJ) -- WAS -- -- -- BOS @PHI
Perhaps the biggest winners at the trade deadline due to the fact that they didn't make any deals, they'll be in line for a big week against three teams in the bottom half of the league defensively. The Wizards allow an embarrassing 105.6 ppg and there should be plenty to go around for Marcus Williams, Mikki Moore and Bostjan Nachbar to all have positive Fantasy weeks in larger formats.
Philadelphia 76ers (PHI) SAC -- PHO -- MEM -- NJ
A homestand that includes tilts against three of the worst defensive teams in the league bodes well for Andre Iguodala and Co. this week. The Kings, Suns and Grizzlies all rank in the bottom 10 in the league in terms of defense and even secondary players like Willie Green could prove useful this week.
Portland Trail Blazers (POR) @SEA -- -- CHA -- SAC --
Sure, they play only three games this week, but they come against teams that allow 101.2 ppg combined. That should make the Blazers a solid source for Fantasy productions in leagues that use averages and even leagues of 12-plus teams that use cumulative scoring. Zach Randolph is a given, but Rookie of the Year candidate Brandon Roy should also make for a very solid option.

The following five teams have the worst matchups for the upcoming week. That doesn't necessarily mean you should reserve every player from these teams, but try to avoid less-heralded performers from these squads if you have an alternative on your roster:
Team 2/26 2/27 2/28 1/1 1/2 1/3 1/4
Cleveland Cavaliers (CLE) -- NOK -- @DAL -- TOR --
The Hornets and Mavericks both rank in the top-10 defensively and the Raptors aren't far behind at No. 14. LeBron James and Co. should be in for some sub-100 point performances and that doesn't bode well for some of the team's secondary scoring options. Larry Hughes might be a player to consider reserving.
Dallas Mavericks (DAL) ATL @MIN -- CLE -- ORL --
What a tough draw. They get four games, but all come against teams that rank in the top-10 defensively, making for some grind-it-out type games in the coming week. We would never tell you to sit Dirk Nowitzki or even Josh Howard or Jason Terry, but just don't look to Mark Cuban's other boys for much help.
Detroit Pistons (DET) -- -- -- -- @MIA @MEM --
Of the 30 NBA teams, they are the only team to play just two games in the upcoming scoring period. That makes most of their players a tough sell in leagues that use cumulative scoring systems. They should salvage a decent week in leagues that use averages, however, due to the matchups against a banged up Heat team and a Grizzlies team that doesn't play much defense -- food for thought.
San Antonio Spurs (SA) TOR -- -- -- ORL @HOU --
All three of their opponents this week rank in the top half of the league defensively, including the sixth-ranked Magic (93.8 ppg allowed) and top-ranked Rockets (90.5 ppg). That means low-end Fantasy options like Brent Barry, Michael Finley and Bruce Bowen are out, leaving only the big three of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili as safe Fantasy starts.
Toronto Raptors (TOR) @SA -- @HOU -- MIL @CLE --
Three of their four games this week come against top-five teams defensively and they'll have to do much, if not all, of their damage on Friday against the Bucks in order to salvage a good scoring week. Avoid some of the team's secondary options like Anthony Parker, Morris Peterson and Andrea Bargnani if possible.
