Stephenson signed a 10-day hardship contract with the Hawks on Tuesday, NBA correspondent Marc Stein reports.
The veteran has been playing for Grand Rapids in the G League this season as he continues to attempt to work his way back into the NBA after last playing for the Lakers in 2018-19. The 31-year-old will attempt to make enough of an impact for the Hawks -- or another team -- to consider signing him to a full contract, but chances are his opportunities will be relatively limited unless the Hawks place additional players in the league's health and safety protocols.
