James (foot) is active and will start Tuesday's matchup against Golden State, Mark Medina of NBA.com reports.
Although appearing on the injury report with a foot issue, James will, as expected, start Tuesday's season-opening contest against the defending champions. James averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists across 56 starts with the Lakers last season.
