Ross Travis: Released after activation

Travis (illness) was restored from the practice squad COVID-19 list and then released by the Browns on Friday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports.

Travis was placed on the practice squad COVID-19 list Dec. 14 after signing with the Browns one week earlier. He was filling in for a number of unavailable tight ends for the team, though with Austin Hooper, David Njoku and Harrison Bryant all cleared to return, the team's need for the depth Travis provided was minimal.
