Avalanche's Shane Bowers: Receiving call-up

Bowers will be recalled from AHL Colorado on Thursday.

Bowers will give the Avalanche additional forward depth after Valeri Nichushkin (ankle) was ruled out for a month. The 23-year-old Bowers could compete for a bottom-six role. He has six points in 10 games at the AHL level.
