Ducks' Simon Benoit: Set for NHL debut

Benoit was assigned to the active roster and will make his NHL debut in Wednesday's game against the Kings.

Benoit was an undrafted free agent out of Shawinigan in the QMJHL, as he's produced eight points in 35 AHL games this season. Benoit possesses a big 6-foot-3 frame and will handle second-pairing duties with Kevin Shattenkirk for Wednesday's contest.
