Flames' Devin Cooley: Starting in Edmonton

Cooley will defend the road net in Monday's split-squad preseason matchup versus the Oilers, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

Cooley appeared in 14 regular-season games for AHL San Jose in 2023-24, posting a 6-6-2 record with a 3.77 GAA and an .891 save percentage. He also went 2-3-1 with a 4.98 GAA and an .870 save percentage across six NHL outings with the Sharks at the end of the year. Cooley is battling with Dustin Wolf and Dan Vladar for a spot on Calgary's roster for Opening Night during training camp.
