Flames' Matthew Phillips: Among Calgary cuts

Phillips was re-assigned to the AHL on Sunday, per Aaron Vickers of NHL.com.

Phillips posted 31 goals and 37 assists in 65 games to lead AHL Stockton last season. If unclaimed, the speedy winger will begin the 2022-23 season in the AHL, though he should see opportunities with the Flames at some point during the season.
