Blais (not injury related) was assigned to AHL Hartford for conditioning on Tuesday.
Blais has been a healthy scratch for three of the Rangers' last six games, so he'll head to the minors to get some significant playing time before presumably rejoining the big club in the near future. He's picked up five helpers through 38 top-level appearances this year.
