2015 Masters: A look back at Ben Hogan's two green jackets
Ben Hogan won two of three Masters tournaments in the early 1950s. They were part of his career grand slam.

If you want hope for the future of Tiger Woods' career, you could do a lot worse than Ben Hogan. The two-time Masters winner almost died from a car accident in 1949.
That's nothing close to what Woods has gone through. The common thread, however, is that almost everyone was dubious that either would ever win again.
Woods hasn't, of course, but Hogan did.
He won the 1951 Masters by two over Skee Riegel. Then, two years later, he won the 1953 Masters by five over Ed Oliver. Hogan reset the Masters scoring record in 1953 which, at that point, was 279 (Hogan shot 285)
“He said at the time it was the greatest golf he’d ever played for 72 holes,” said Dan Jenkins. “And it was.” Hogan did say that.
"I hit the ball better – more like I wanted to hit it – than in any 72-hole tournament I’ve ever played."
Hogan remains one of only five men who have ever won the modern day grand slam. A feat Rory McIlroy will try to match next week.
