Adam Scott returns to anchored putter for Masters
Adam Scott is barely inside the top 200 on the PGA Tour in strokes gained putting. That's reason enough for him to go back to the long stick for Augusta.

According to the Australian Associated Press, Adam Scott is switching back to his anchored putter for the 2015 Masters. It's the same one he won the tournament with in 2013.
This isn't a huge surprise. Scott said after the Arnold Palmer Invitational that he was considering the move.
"Putting with a longer putter is maybe the smarter thing to do (at Augusta)," said Scott.
He also noted to the AAP that he feels good about his chances at Augusta.
"I am going back as a previous champion for the rest of my life and I have played the course really well over the last five years now," he said.
Will this move be met with jeers from the golf world? Some insiders think it will.
Text from ex-anchoring PGA Tour pro on Scott's decision: "Not surprised. Known quantity for him. Gonna get ugly if he plays well, though."

I'm not so sure. It might be, but I'm not totally certain enough folks care about something that's going to be illegal starting in 2016 but is legal at the moment.
It is probably the right move for Scott. He doesn't have enough rounds played to qualify for the PGA Tour's stats. If he did, he would be No. 184 in strokes gained putting.
