Could Stephen Curry make the PGA Tour?
Could Stephen Curry play professional golf? Probably not on the PGA Tour.

For all the talk about basketball players being able to cross sports lines and pick up professional football, why aren't we asking the same questions about other sports?
Well, some of us are.
Michael Collins of ESPN said on his podcast recently that he thinks Stephen Curry, a scratch golfer, could play on the Web.com or PGA Tour.
"If [Steph Curry] quit basketball, and took eight months and only trained in golf, he could probably make the Tour," said Collins. "The Web.com Tour for sure, but he could probably make it on the PGA Tour."
I'm not so sure about that.
Golf instructor Mark Immelman was asked what a scratch golfer would shoot during the 2013 British Open at Muirfield. He said it would be tough to break 80.
Look at what a bevy of non-regulars on the PGA Tour did recently at Doral (bottom of the leaderboard here).
Those are some grotesque scores. I realize that's a tough tournament, but Hiroyuki Fujita finished 36 shots back of Dustin Johnson!
Ian Poulter was famously a 4 handicap when he turned pro but that's more the exception than the rule. I mean, everyone on the tour is currently playing to well beyond a plus handicap.
Ian Poulter was a 4-handicap when he turned pro. That's like a basketball player declaring for the NBA before he could dunk.

Jimmy Walker noted recently that he was playing to a plus-10!
So yeah, maybe Curry could give it a whirl on the Web.com Tour and catch some lightning, but to think he could make it full-time on the PGA Tour after eight months of practice?
Come on.
