Justin Rose has quietly turned himself into one of the most consistent golfers on the PGA Tour of the last half-decade.

You already knew he was one of the best (see: US Open 2013) and one of the most gifted (see: his finish as a teen at the British Open) but now with his 2014 Quicken Loans National win he's become one of the most rhythmic, posting PGA Tour wins year after year after year.

I mean, look at this five year run on the PGA Tour:

2010: Memorial, AT&T National
2011: BMW Championship
2012: Cadillac Championship
2013: US Open
2014: Quicken Loans National

Those are big boy courses -- Merion, Congressional, Doral, and Muirfield Village -- nary an easy track among them. 

Only Phil Mickelson (10) and Dustin Johnson (7) have longer year-over-year streaks of winning events than Rose's five. His six wins since 2010 have only been bested by a guy named Tiger Woods in that span of time (Woods has eight).

Rose held off Shawn Stefani in a one-hole sudden-death playoff at Congressional on Sunday, a course that was playing to US Open-like conditions. Both Rose and Stefani shot 70 but Rose won the playoff by two after parring the last while Stefani double bogeyed.

"Congressional got its reputation back after the US Open here," Rose said to CBS' Peter Kostis. "I was excited to play this course this week. I think it tested all of us, I'm delighted."

He should be.

After a wayward drive on No. 18 in his 72nd hole of the tournament Rose hooked his second shot into the water but somehow made a 15-foot par putt to put his name into the playoff.

It was a monster moment from a great champion. And as Doug Ferguson pointed out, Rose has been one of the few stars that have come through with a win this season.

Rose is also one of only 10 golfers to play the first two majors of the season in 4 over or better. He's as consistent a finisher as we have in the sport right now.

B It's rare (read: never) that I give Tiger Woods a "B" for anything outside of a top 20 finish but he accomplished what he needed to get done. All about the reps. Finish: CUT
D Not a major? Jason Day isn't interested. He could post 20 missed cuts a year and I'd still expect him to finish in the top five of every major. Another guy who got some good reps post-injury this week. Finish: CUT
