Astros outfielder Dexter Fowler rejoined the team and begain participating in light hitting in the batting cage, MLB.com reports. It was his first baseball activity since getting a platelet-rich plasma injection and taking four days off.
"They actually planned that, even before right when I told them when my injury was," Fowler said. "I was like, 'Well, we'll wait a few days to see how it feels,' and obviously it feels better now. I haven't really done anything but sit there and relax."
Fowler, who is recovering from an intercostal strain, is eligible to come off the disabled list Saturday, and the team is working towards having him back in the minimum amount of time.
