Blue Jays pitcher Esmil Rogers turned in a quality start as he picked up his second win of the season Thursday night against the Rangers.

Rogers (2-2) allowed a solo home run to Nelson Cruz in the second for his only damage of the night. He surrendered one run on five hits and one walk while striking out one in seven innings pitched in a 3-1 win.

Rogers has allowed just two runs over his last 23 2/3 innings pitched. He is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday at home against Colorado.He has a 2.79 ERA in 14 appearances (one start) at home.
