Gomez extended by Brewers

The Brewers have extended the contract of outfielder Carlos Gomez for three years, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Wednesday. The 27-year-old Gomez has hit well this spring after deciding not to play in the World Baseball Classic. Gomez is batting .529 over 17 at-bats with a home run, an RBI and two stolen bases.
