Just Because: Jeffrey Leonard's 'one flap down'

SAN FRANCISCO - Back in 1987, the Cardinals and Giants faced off in the NLCS. It was a dramatic series that spanned seven games. A lot of the drama revolved around Jeffrey Leonard and his "one flap down" home run trots.
Aside: It was pretty fun to do this:

Anyway, Leonard hit three home runs early in the series, and each time his home run trot resembled this:
After the third one, Cardinals reliever Bob Forsch had apparently seen enough. Next time Leonard batted, Forsch hit him with a pitch.
Some quotes from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on the matter:
Then Cardinals manager Whitey Herzog: "'Wingy' (as Herzog called Leonard) was bouncing around those bases," said Herzog. "I had gone up to Forschie the day before and said, 'You pitching tomorrow?' Forschie didn't say anything but the next day he hit Leonard right in the butt. That kind of put a kibosh on that stuff a little bit. It might have been a turning point."
[Jose] Oquendo said, "That's the last time (Leonard) did that. He only had one flap left."
The Cardinals were trailing in Game 3 (the series was 1-1) when Leonard homered, but came back to win and went on to win the series in seven games.
Still, one of the most famous moments of the series was Leonard's manner of rounding the bases after a home run.
