Red Sox relief pitcher Koji Uehara, who turned 38 on Wednesday, got off to a solid start this season for Boston in Monday's season opener against the Yankees.

Uehara recorded a five-pitch scoreless inning on opening day, giving him a streak of 15 straight games (12 2/3 innings) without allowing a run. He's allowed just two hits and one walk over that span with 19 strikeouts.
