Reds starting pitcher Mat Latos struggled in his final start before the All-Star break Thursday, as he took a 6-5 loss to the Braves.
Latos allowed three runs in the first two innings and left after a three-run fourth. He was charged with six runs on nine hits and two walks in four innings. He threw 87 pitches, 56 for strikes, while striking out seven. Latos is 8-3 with a 3.53 ERA.
Latos enters the All-Star break ranked fourth in the National League with 127 strikeouts, but he has lost three of his last five decisions. His next start has yet to be scheduled.
