Padres SP Josh Johnson (elbow) to resume throwing program

Padres starting pitcher Josh Johnson, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, will resume his throwing program after an MRI on his elbow was inconclusive, per The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Johnson had the surgery over 14 months ago, but during a simulated game two weeks ago he felt tingling in his fingers and the outing was cut short.
"Because it's a revision, because the ligament had to be redone, the MRI's kind of inconclusive on the condition of the ligament," Padres manager Pat Murphy said Friday. "JJ felt some soreness when he was throwing last time he was throwing, so we shut him down.
"We're going to resume the rehab. He's going to begin throwing soon."
Murphy didn't provide an exact date on when Johnson would resume throwing.
"They don't know about the integrity of the ligament right now," Murphy said. "It's pretty complicated because it is a revision."
