The Rays have picked up a $6.5-million option on outfielder David DeJesus, and the two sides are in talks for a multiyear deal, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

DeJesus played for three teams in 2013 after being traded twice in August. He hit .251/.327/.402 with eight home runs, 38 RBI and five stolen bases in 391 at-bats.
