Rays designated hitter John Jaso said Monday that the swelling in his injured left wrist is nearly gone, The Tampa Tribune reports.
Jaso has begun strength conditioning and feels he'll be ready to swing a bat within a week. He's been sidelined since suffering the wrist contusion while sliding into a base on Opening day.
