Seth Maness making most of promotion

Cardinals reliever Seth Maness has looked impressive during his brief stint in the majors. Maness, who was recalled from Triple-A Memphis April 29, is 2-0 and has not allowed a run over his three appearances (3 1/3 innings) entering Sunday against the Rockies.

The right-hander has made 10 outs in 18 pitches. He has induced three double plays and got five outs on the first eight pitches he threw in the big leagues.

"This whole thing has been pretty surreal," he told MLB.com. "I must have a little luck on my side. I'm in the right place at the right time, I guess."
