Reds' Sal Stewart: Continues huge season with five RBI

Stewart went 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk and five total RBI in a 9-2 victory versus the Tigers on Saturday.
Stewart didn't wait long to make a big impact, mashing a three-run homer off Jack Flaherty in the first inning. The budding star added a two-run single in the sixth to give him five total RBI -- his second-highest mark of the season. Stewart has been one of MLB's (and fantasy's) brightest stars so far this season, slashing .303/.398/.626 through 118 plate appearances. He leads the majors with 29 RBI, is tied for fourth with nine long balls and is tied for ninth with seven stolen bases (on as many attempts) while exhibiting excellent plate discipline with a 17:21 BB:K.

Stewart hit his eighth homer of the season in the first inning, a 424-foot shot to center. His eight homers are tied for third in MLB, behind just Aaron Judge and Yordan Alvarez. After belting five homers in just 58 plate appearances during his 2025 MLB debut campaign and adding eight through 98 PAs this season, Stewart is impressively leaving the yard once every 12 trips to the batter's box thus far in his brief MLB career.

It was Stewart's first career multi-homer game, and his six RBI set a career high. The 22-year-old continues to be one of baseball's breakout stars early on, batting .323 while ranking near the top of the league in home runs (seven), slugging percentage (.726) and OPS (1.160) through 18 games.

Stewart covered second base due to Matt McLain getting a breather for the first time this season. Stewart went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 8-1 loss to the Marlins.
Stewart's fourth home run of the season came in the fifth inning off Max Meyer and was the only offense for Cincinnati on Thursday. Stewart continues to be one of the hottest hitters in baseball with a .364/.473/.727 slash line, including the four homers, nine RBI, eight runs scored, three stolen bases and a 10:8 BB:K across 55 plate appearances.

Cincinnati scored both of its runs in the top of the first inning against Kumar Rocker, as Elly De La Cruz singled home Matt McLain before Stewart singled home De La Cruz.
