Celtics forward Gerald Wallace came close to a triple-double Friday, scoring eight points on 4 of 8 shooting while grabbing a season-high 12 rebounds and matching a season high with nine assists in his team's 99-89 win over the Kings.
It was the second time this season Wallace came on the verge of a triple-double, with the previous instance coming via a 9-9-9 line in early November. He has averaged 4.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists over 50 games played.
