WATCH: Lakers' Nick Young performs 'Here I Go Again' on Lip Sync Battle
Swaggy P might have got a lyric wrong, but he dressed the part, at least.
How often do you think about Whitesnake when you think about the NBA? Close to never? Well, today's a special day, then. Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young appeared on Spike's "Lip Sync Battle" to perform a version of "Here I Go Again," with his fiancée Iggy Azalea watching while LL Cool J. Co-host Chrissy Teigen danced along.
This either registers as immediately appealing, or something you have no interest in watching at all. Anyway, here's the clip:
What I love about it, aside from Young's ridiculous outfit, is that he performed extremely poorly. I mean, this is a very well-known song, and Young doesn't even know the lyrics to the chorus.
Swaggy P starts off on the wrong foot, just raising his fists in the air where he should have been lip syncing. Then you can tell he thinks he can make up for it with a sweet rockstar slide, but he's unable to concentrate on pulling that off and remembering the lyrics at the same time. Then he sits up, gets more wrong and gets back on his feet, a good half-second or so behind the song.
What I'm saying is the performance was perfect: 10/10.
