Mindaugas Kuzminskas: Headed to EuroLeague
Kuzminskas signed a contract with AX Armani Olimpia Milan of the EuroLeague, the Gazzetta dello Sports reports.
After being let go by the Knicks in mid-November, Kuzminskas has been shopping himself all over the NBA, but couldn't find a suitor willing to give him a shot. Instead, he'll head back overseas and play in the EuroLeague, which isn't a new concept for him. It's unclear if that deal includes an NBA buyout clause, though either way, it appears Kuzminskas is set to remain overseas for the foreseeable future. Kuzminskas averaged 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist across 14.8 minutes in 68 games last year with the Knicks.

Mindaugas Kuzminskas: Waived by Knicks
Kuzminskas was waived by the Knicks on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Knicks have been attempting to trade Kuzminskas over the last few weeks after he fell out of the team's regular rotation, but will now simply release him in order to open a roster spot for Joakim Noah (suspension). Kuzminskas should field interest from other NBA teams, though if he can't find a suitor, it wouldn't be surprising if he ultimately signed a contract overseas.

Knicks' Mindaugas Kuzminskas: Will be active Wednesday
Kuzminskas will be active for Wednesday's game against the Magic, Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports.
The Knicks have an extra active spot Wednesday with Kristaps Porzingis (elbow/ankle) sidelined, so Kuzminskas will be an option off the bench for the first time this season. The second-year big man was a consistent member of the rotation last season, but he's been an afterthought thus far and is believed to be available, should another team be interested in acquiring him, per Ian Begley of ESPN.com.

Knicks' Mindaugas Kuzminskas: Could be on trade block
League executives told Ian Begley of ESPN.com that the Knicks have been shopping Kuzminskas, who has been excluded from head coach Jeff Hornacek's rotation throughout the season.
The 28-year-old Kuzminskas turned in a decent rookie season in 2016-17, averaging 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 0.8 three-pointers in 14.9 minutes per game while making 68 appearances. That production was seemingly thought to put him in contention for an elevated role this season, but the offseason pickups of veteran wings Tim Hardaway and Doug McDermott and rookie Damyean Dotson haven't left any room in the rotation for the Lithuanian. The Knicks will get center Joakim Noah back from a 20-game suspension next week and will need to open up a roster spot for him, so moving Kuzminskas elsewhere in exchange for a future asset would be helpful toward achieving that goal. It would also brighten Kuzminskas' fantasy outlook, as his path to minutes can't get any narrower from here.

Kuzminskas doesn't appear to be dealing with any sort of injury, so it appears he's simply sitting outside the team's regular rotation currently. Kuzminskas was already given a probable designation, so this is merely a confirmation of what was already expected. He should slot in as depth at small forward, with most of his work coming off the bench behind Doug McDermott and Tim Hardaway. With Carmelo Anthony now in Oklahoma City, Kuzminskas should have the chance to improve on the 14.9 minutes per game he averaged a season ago.

With Carmelo Anthony (knee) and Lance Thomas (hip) missing Saturday's game against the Spurs, Kuzminskas drew into the starting lineup at small forward and posted an impressive 19 points, one rebound and two assists across 36 minutes. While Thomas remains out and could allow Kuzminskas to see more playing time than usual, Anthony's return will send him back to the bench and likely means a drastic drop from the 36 minutes he saw on Saturday. The Knicks may try and get some of their younger players some extra opportunities over the last few weeks of the season, so Kuzminskas could be someone to keep an eye on despite the recent demotion.

Kuzminskas tallied 14 points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal over 32 minutes in Thursday's 110-95 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Drawing the start for Carmelo Anthony (knee), Kuzminskas turned in a solid effort that was assisted by a perfect performance from the charity stripe. The 27-year-old's scoring total represented his first double-digit point tally since Jan. 29 against the Hawks, as he's seen modest minutes or been left out of the rotation altogether on numerous occasions over the last six weeks. If Anthony were to miss Saturday night's tilt versus the Spurs, Kuzminskas would presumably be in for another run with the first unit.
