  • Wizards' Will Riley: Struggles in season finale

Riley recorded six points (2-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists across 34 minutes during Sunday's 130-117 loss to the Cavaliers.

Riley struggled from the floor Sunday, closing his season with a disappointing performance. Much like many of his teammates, Riley was able to shift into a sizeable role down the stretch, with Washington packing up shop early in the season. In 17 appearances over the past month, Riley saw 32.4 minutes per game, during which he put up 16.6 points, 1.1 steals and 1.6 three-pointers.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Getting starting nod

Riley will start Sunday's game against the Cavaliers.

Riley will enter the starting lineup for the team's season finale. The rookie has been impressive of late, averaging 20.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals in 33.9 minutes per contest over his last seven appearances.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Retreating to bench

Riley is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game versus Miami.

Bilal Coulibaly is back from a one-game absence due to a heel injury and is pushing Riley to the second unit. Riley has played at least 25 minutes in each of his last 10 appearances as a reserve, so the rookie first-rounder should still play a key role off the bench Friday.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Flirts with triple-double

Riley logged 23 points (8-22 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and three steals across 38 minutes during Thursday's 119-108 loss to the Bulls.

Riley led the Wizards in the scoring department, though he needed 22 field-goal attempts to do so. He remained ice cold from beyond the arc, where he's now 1-for-14 over his previous two appearances. Riley managed to make up for his shooting woes by stuffing the stat sheet, and his production Thursday was much improved in comparison to his final line from Tuesday, when he tallied two points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 31 minutes against Chicago.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Starting Thursday

Riley will start Thursday's game against the Bulls.

With Bilal Coulibaly (heel) out, Riley will step back into the starting lineup. As a starter this season (16 games), the rookie first-rounder has averaged 16.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.7 minutes per tilt.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Not starting Tuesday

Riley is coming off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Bulls.

Bilal Coulibaly (heel) is replacing Riley in the starting lineup Tuesday. Riley has played at least 25 minutes in each of his last nine appearances as a reserve, so the expectation is that he'll still play significant minutes from the second unit.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Another strong showing Sunday

Riley finished with 30 points (9-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 9-12 FT), four rebounds and six assists across 35 minutes in Sunday's 121-115 loss to Brooklyn.

Riley scored a career-high 31 points in Saturday's 152-136 loss to Miami. Although he narrowly missed that mark versus the Nets, he still managed to become the first Wizards rookie to record back-to-back outings with at least 30 points since 1994 (Calbert Cheaney). The 2025 No. 21 overall pick has played well in three games in April, averaging 24.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 69.0 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from downtown across 34.5 minutes of work.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Drops career-high 31 in wild loss

Riley recorded 31 points (12-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds and five steals across 37 minutes during Saturday's 152-136 loss to Miami.

The 31 points and five steals were both career highs for the 21st overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, as Riley led the Wizards in scoring on a wild afternoon. He's scored in double digits in 10 of his last 11 games (nine starts), averaging 18.3 points, 3.3 boards, 2.8 assists, 1.8 threes and 1.1 steals in 32.3 minutes over that stretch.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Paces team with 20 points

Riley chipped in 20 points (8-19 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 120-101 loss to the Lakers.

Riley was unable to find his shot beyond the arc in the loss, but he was still able to deliver a serviceable line to lead the team. Bilal Coulibaly (heel) was held out of Monday's game, which earned Riley another start. Injuries throughout the roster have given Riley eight opportunities with the first unit over the past 10 games, and he's averaged a solid 15.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists over that span.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Starting versus Lakers

Riley will start Monday's game against the Lakers.

The rookie first-rounder came off the bench in the Wizards' last two contests. However, with an extensive list of injuries for Washington, Riley will return to the starting lineup. The 20-year-old has played well in 13 starts this season, during which he has averaged 15.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.1 blocks and 0.8 steals in 33.5 minutes per tilt.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Another strong showing

Riley finished with 22 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals over 29 minutes during Friday's 131-126 loss to Golden State.

Riley has been one of the brightest spots for the Wizards this season, and his emergence as a reliable contributor after the All-Star break has been promising. Riley has scored at least 15 points in five of his last seven outings, and this 22-point output off the bench was his best scoring mark since he had 22 points in a loss to the Heat on March 10. Riley has been a popular addition in most fantasy formats, and the numbers back him up since he's averaging 15.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in 19 appearances since the All-Star break.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Won't start Friday

Riley won't start Friday's game against the Warriors.

With Tre Johnson (foot) returning to the lineup following a three-game absence, Riley will retreat to the second unit. The 20-year-old out of Illinois has averaged 15.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 29.2 minutes per contest over his last five outings off the bench.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Records second double-double

Riley notched 19 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 10 rebounds and five assists in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 133-110 victory over the Jazz.

The 17-55 Wizards continue to take a long look at the rookie first-rounder, who submitted his second double-double of the campaign. Riley has started nine games in a row, averaging 14.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.9 three-pointers in 33.1 minutes per tilt.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Available to play Saturday

Riley (adductor) will play in Saturday's game against OKC.

Riley was considered questionable heading into Saturday's game. However, he'll avoid his first absence since Jan. 9. The 2025 No. 21 overall pick has had the best month of his inaugural career, averaging 15.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.1 blocks in March (10 games). He's also started in each of the Wizards' previous six contests. That trend should continue, considering Tre Johnson (foot) and Trae Young (back) aren't available.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Massive workload in loss

Riley accumulated 15 points (5-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and one assist over 40 minutes during Thursday's 117-95 loss to Detroit.

The Wizards have spread out their minutes quite a bit in recent weeks, so the fact that Riley logged 40 on Thursday is a great sign for his fantasy appeal moving forward. The Wizards were missing several players due to injuries and maintenance Thursday, but that's likely to be a normal occurrence down the stretch.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Questionable for Saturday

Riley is questionable for Saturday's game against Oklahoma City due to right adductor soreness.

The rookie first-rounder is in jeopardy of missing his first contest since Jan. 9. A potential absence for Riley would likely free up a spot in the starting lineup for either Justin Champagnie or Jamir Watkins Saturday.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Knocks down four threes

Riley finished with 21 points (6-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five assists and four rebounds over 39 minutes during Monday's 125-117 loss to the Warriors.

Riley bounced back from a pair of single-digit scoring efforts over his previous two games with a 21-point performance. Monday marked the rookie's fourth 20-point outing of the year, as well as the fourth time he's connected on four triples in a game. After not seeing consistent playing time to open the campaign, Riley has emerged as a consistent contributor down the stretch for the Wizards, logging 25-plus minutes in each of his past 12 appearances.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Only five points in loss

Riley ended with five points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes during Saturday's 111-100 loss to the Celtics.

Riley managed just five points, the fewest he has scored in his past 13 games. Despite playing a consistent role, Riley has struggled to put up standard-league value, averaging just 13.3 points and 1.2 three-pointers in 28.1 minutes per game in 13 appearances over the past month. While he can be relied upon for minutes, his production resembles that of a streaming option rather than someone who needs to be rostered.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Second-best scoring mark of season

Riley closed Tuesday's 150-129 loss to the Heat with 22 points (6-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 40 minutes.

Riley was one of the few standout performers for the Wizards in a game that will go down in history for Bam Adebayo's 83-point performance. Riley notched his second-best scoring mark of the campaign and reached the 20-point mark for the first time since Feb. 7, when he posted a season-best 27 points in a loss to the Nets. He's been on a tear since the All-Star break, scoring in double digits in nine of his last 11 appearances.

  • Wizards' Will Riley: Starting Tuesday

Riley will start Tuesday's game against the Heat.

After coming off the bench in Washington's last two games, Riley will get the starting nod in Miami. As a starter this season (four games), the rookie first-rounder has averaged 16.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 34.3 minutes per contest.
