Nance (ankle) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's Game 3 against the Thunder. Nance was held to just 14 minutes of action in Game 2 due to an apparent right ankle injury. However, Nance should be available and serve as one of New Orleans' primary frontcourt options off the bench in Game 3.... See More ... See Less

Pelicans' Larry Nance: Practices Friday
Nance (undisclosed) was a full participant in practice Friday, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports. Nance left Wednesday's Game 2 loss to the Thunder in the third quarter favoring his right leg and grabbed at his ankle as he walked to the locker room. He didn't play at all in the final frame. On Friday, coach Willie Green said that despite the soreness, Nance "went through a full practice." This is good news for the Pelicans, who are still without Zion Williamson (hamstring).... Pelicans' Larry Nance: Returns from locker room
Nance (leg) has rejoined the Pelicans bench after a brief trip to the locker room during Wednesday's Game 2 against Oklahoma City, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports. Nance went back to the locker room late in the third quarter but returned to the Pelicans bench to open up the fourth quarter. He should be considered good to go for the final period.... See More ... Pelicans' Larry Nance: Heads to locker room
Nance went back to the locker room during Wednesday's Game 2 against the Thunder with what seemed to be a right leg issue, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Nance exited the contest late in the third quarter and went back to the Pelicans' locker room. While he's absent, Jonas Valanciunas could see more of the center work while Naji Marshall and Dyson Daniels could slide into larger roles. Nance should be considered questionable to return.... Pelicans' Larry Nance: Available for Sunday
Nance (personal) will be available for Sunday's game against the Lakers. Nance will return from a two-game absence. He's appeared in five April contests, averaging 5.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Remains out Friday
Nance (personal) won't play in Friday's game versus the Warriors. Nance will miss his second straight game Friday due to personal reasons. Jonas Valanciunas, Cody Zeller and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely continue to receive increased playing time in his absence. Nance's next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with the Lakers.... Pelicans' Larry Nance: Good to go against Spurs
Nance (undisclosed) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game versus San Antonio. After leaving Wednesday's contest against Orlando early due to an undisclosed injury, Nance is available Friday. The 30-year-old forward is averaging 6.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 23.5 minutes across his last 10 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Sustains injury Wednesday
Nance exited with 51 seconds remaining in the third quarter and didn't return to Wednesday's 117-108 loss to the Magic due to an apparent injury, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. He finished with two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 13 minutes. Head coach Willie Green didn't provide any further details behind what resulted in Nance's removal from the contest, but Guillory notes that the veteran big man was able to return to the Pelicans bench after a brief trip to the locker room. The fact that Nance wasn't able to return at any point in the fourth quarter makes his status worth monitoring heading into Friday's game against the Spurs, particularly after Zion Williamson sustained a left middle finger contusion in the closing minutes of Wednesday's loss.... Pelicans' Larry Nance: Logs 33 minutes off bench
Nance provided four points (2-4 FG), two rebounds and one steal across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 119-112 loss to the Thunder. While Nance continues to come off the bench in New Orleans, he's averaging more minutes (23.5) through March than the Pelicans' starting center, Jonas Valanciunas (18.4). Valanciunas saw just 10.5 minutes of floor time Tuesday night and finished with six points, six rebounds and one assist.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Double-double off bench Tuesday
Nance registered 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 104-91 win over Brooklyn. It's only the second double-double of the season for Nance, with the other coming Dec. 31 against the Lakers. The 31-year-old big has begun seeing a bigger role in the New Orleans frontcourt in March, however -- he's played at least 27 minutes in four of his last five games, averaging 8.4 points, 5.0 boards, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 25.8 minutes a contest during that stretch while shooting 59.3 percent from the floor. If that workload holds up, he might put himself back on the fantasy radar.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Not listed on injury report
Nance (illness) isn't listed on the Pelicans' injury report for Tuesday's game against the Nets. Nance and Herbert Jones (back/hip) are expected to play after missing Saturday's win over the Trail Blazers. In six March appearances, Nance has averaged 6.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 22.0 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Won't play against Portland
Nance is out for Saturday's game versus the Trail Blazers due to a non-COVID illness. Nance will miss his first game since Feb. 2 on Saturday due to an illness. Jonas Valanciunas, Cody Zeller and Naji Marshall are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. Nance's next chance to suit up is Tuesday's matchup with Brooklyn.... See More ... Pelicans' Larry Nance: Makes strong impression
Nance posted 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, three assists and four steals across 29 minutes during Sunday's 116-103 win over the Hawks. Nance started the second half in place of a struggling Jonas Valanciunas, playing 29 minutes compared to Valanciunas' 19. This was Nance's second game in a row with a minutes workload in the 20s, so this is a trend to watch.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Passive performance Tuesday
Nance logged four points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes during Tuesday's 115-92 win over the Knicks. Nance was quiet on both ends of the floor, continuing his underwhelming production of late. Despite playing at least 19 minutes in eight of the past 10 games, Nance has topped double-digits only once, adding a combined 11 steals and blocks in that span. As a player who is outside the top 200 for the season, Nance can be safely left alone in standard leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Flirts with double-double off bench
Nance chipped in eight points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 96-87 victory over the Grizzlies. Nance led all bench players in Monday's contest in rebounds while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total and ending one board and two points shy of a double-double in a bench-leading minute total. Nance has tallied at least eight points and eight boards in five games this season, his first such outing since Jan. 23 against Utah.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Good to go Monday
Nance (ankle) has been cleared to play Monday versus Toronto, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports. Nance was a full participant at practice Sunday, so this is the expected outcome. He returns from a one-game absence to slot into a fully healthy Pelicans frontcourt.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Listed as questionable
Nance (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against Toronto. Nance sat out Friday's game against the Spurs due to his ankle injury but was a full participant in Sunday's practice session. While he appears to be trending in the right direction, it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up against the Raptors.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Full go at practice
Nance (ankle) was a full participant during Sunday's practice, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Nance missed Friday's one-point win over the Spurs, marking his first absence since Dec. 26. He looks poised to return to action Monday versus Toronto, but his official status for the game will be revealed when New Orleans posts its injury report later Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Out Friday
Nance (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Spurs, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports. Nance will be sidelined for the first time since Dec. 26. His next chance to suit up will come Monday versus Toronto. In Nance's absence, Cody Zeller and Naji Marshall are candidates for increased roles.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Larry Nance: Iffy for Friday
Nance is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Spurs due to left ankle soreness. Nance is in danger of missing his first game since Dec. 26 on Friday due to a sore left ankle. If Nance is ruled out, Cody Zeller and Naji Marshall would be candidates to receive increased playing time.... See More ... See Less
