Draft Scouting Report:
Rating: 76.03 (Chance to start)
Pro Comparison: Romeo Okwara
Strengths:
Large, thick edge prospect ready to battle in the trenches tomorrow. Closing speed and second gear are more impressive than his burst, but he does look like a hefty type at the edge spot. Showcases a variety of moves -- loves the cross chop -- to beat blockers, and there are legitimate counters to his game. Bull rush is solid, too, and he crosses over to the inside frequently. Truly someone who threatens the tackle in a variety of ways. Sets a rock-solid edge, and there's even some bend to his pass-rushing arsenal. High-floor type with the body and refinement to outplay his draft position if he lands later in Day 3.
Weaknesses:
Feels like there's not much upside to him because his athleticism isn't nearing the special range.
Accolades:
- 2021: Set career highs in tackles (32), TFL (11.0) and sacks (7.0)
- 2021: Given Defensive MVP award, Defensive Leadership award and Top Conditioned Athlete award at team banquet
