Ben Roethlisberger falls flat in encore

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger fell flat on his face in an easy matchup Sunday, a 20-13 loss to the Jets in Week 10.

Roethlisberger entered the game riding the best two-game stretch in NFL history, having passed for six touchdowns in each of his previous two games. However, against a Jets defense that had allowed 24 touchdowns to just one interception to quarterbacks this season, Roethlisberger managed just one touchdown and was picked off twice in the surprising loss.

Roethlisberger still passed for 343 yards and completed 69.8 percent of his passes, so it's not all bad for him. He continues to show a good rapport with deep threat Martavis Bryant, as the duo connected for 143 yards and their sixth touchdown in four games.

Roethlisberger has never been a big touchdown guy, so the last two weeks certainly stand out as outliers. However, he is still completing 68.5 percent of his passes with just three interceptions on 381 attempts overall, the best numbers of his career. Roethlisberger isn't nearly as good as he looked during his historic stretch, but Fantasy owners should feel pretty comfortable relying on him down the stretch, beginning in Week 11 against the Titans.
