The Tennessee Titans have re-signed safety Bernard Pollard, according to Bernard Pollard. The 29-year-old took to Twitter on Monday to announce that he'll be a Titan for 'the next couple years.'

The Titans also confirmed the deal, but exact terms of contract haven't been announced yet. The Tennessean has reported that the deal is for two years.
"We were pleased with the job Bernard did for us in his first season with us last year," Titans general manager Ruston Webster said. "Getting this deal done today helps our overall plan for this offseason. We still have work ahead of us trying to retain some of our other players, but we are glad to be able to get this one done."
Pollard originally signed with Tennessee as a free agent in March 2013 and in his first year with the team, the safety led the Titans in tackles (99) and finished second on the team in interceptions (3). Pollard brought an instant edge to a Titans pass defense that ranked 26th without him in 2012, but jumped up to 11th in 2013.
Before joining the Titans in 2013, Pollard spent two seasons in Baltimore (2011-12), two seasons in Houston (2009-10) and three seasons in Kansas City (2006-08). Pollard won a Super Bowl with the Ravens in 2012, but then was cut by the team a month after the win. The move didn't go over well with Pollard, who kept the Ravens termination notice posted in his Tennessee locker during the 2013 preseason.
