Lestage can now return to Seahawks practices and work to earn a shot with the active roster. However, with a mostly healthy Seattle offensive line, especially at Lestage's position of center, it may be an uphill battle.

Lestage underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia in June, so his presence on the NFI list isn't surprising. Seattle has yet to provide a timeline for the rookie lineman's return to the field.

Lestage suffered the injury prior to signing a contract with the Seahawks after the draft, and he participated in the team's recent three-day mandatory minicamp. The injury doesn't appear to be too serious, but it's not yet clear whether the injury will impact his availability for the start of training camp.
