McKade Mettauer: Waived by Kansas City
The Chiefs waived Mettauer on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The 24-year-old offensive lineman spent the 2024 season on injured reserve with a torn MCL suffered last preseason. He's still looking to make his regular-season NFL debut and will try to latch on elsewhere.

Chiefs' McKade Mettauer: IR-bound with knee injury
Mettauer (knee) reverted to Kansas City's injured reserve list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
He's expected to stay on the injured reserve list for the whole of the 2024 campaign as he recovers from a ruptured MCL. Nick Torres could see an uptick in action at practice in the meantime.

McKade Mettauer: Waived by Chiefs
Kansas City waived Mettauer (knee) with an injury designation Monday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Mettauer tore his MCL in Kansas City's preseason opener against Jacksonville, though head coach Andy Reid said after the game that the injury won't require surgery. The offensive guard will likely clear waivers and be placed on IR.

Chiefs' McKade Mettauer: Dealing with torn MCL
Mettauer sustained a tear in his MCL in Saturday's preseason game against the Jaguars, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports.
Head coach Andy Reid told reporters Monday that the tear won't require surgery. It appears Mettauer's injury isn't of the season-ending variety. However, the timeline of his recovery is not yet clear, though he likely won't see the field for the rest of the preseason. Mettauer signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in May and was competing for a depth spot on the offensive line before the injury.

Mettauer exited Saturday night's preseason game against the Jaguars with a knee injury and will not return.
Mettauer signed with the Chiefs after not being drafted out of Oklahoma back in April and is competing for one of the final roster spots or a practice squad position in Kansas City.
