Panthers' Robert Rochell: Ready to face Rams
Rochell (concussion) does not carry an injury designation for Saturday's wild-card round matchup against Los Angeles.
Rochell has fully cleared the concussion protocol and is on track to handle his usual role on special teams during Saturday's playoff opener. Across six regular-season appearances, Rochell did not handle a single defensive snap.

Panthers' Robert Rochell: Upgrades to full practice Wednesday
Rochell (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Rochell was unable to play in the Panthers' Week 18 loss to the Buccaneers after entering the league's concussion protocol against the Seahawks in Week 17. He appears to be progressing in his recovery given his ability to practice in full Wednesday, but he would need to clear concussion protocol in order to be available for Saturday's NFC wild-card game against the Rams. Rochell played exclusively on special teams across six regular-season games between the Panthers and Cowboys and finished with five tackles (two solo).

Panthers' Robert Rochell: Listed as limited Tuesday
Rochell (concussion) was listed as a limited participant in Tuesday's walkthrough practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Rochell wasn't able to practice in any capacity prior to being ruled out for Week 18, so his limited listing represents a step in the right direction. In order to be eligible for Saturday's wild-card round against the Rams, however, Rochell will need to fully clear the NFL's concussion protocol.

Panthers' Robert Rochell: Out for Week 18
Rochell (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's matchup against the Buccaneers.
Rochell sustained a concussion in the Week 17 loss to the Seahawks and wasn't able to clear protocol in time to play Saturday. While the 27-year-old is sidelined in Week 18, expect Akayleb Evans to have a larger defensive role as one of Carolina's top reserve cornerbacks.

Panthers' Robert Rochell: Misses Wednesday's walkthrough
Rochell (concussion) didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
The 27-year-old corner from Central Arkansas opened the Panthers' week of practice with consecutive DNPs after sustaining a concussion in the Week 17 loss to the Seahawks. Rochell needs to clear the NFL's five-step protocol in order to suit up for Saturday's matchup against the Buccaneers, a contest that could decide the winner of the NFC South. If he's sidelined in Week 18, expect Akayleb Evans to operate as one of the Panthers' top reserve cornerbacks.

Panthers' Robert Rochell: Enters concussion protocol
Rochell has entered the league's concussion protocol and has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Rochell appeared to be shaken up while on punt coverage in the first half and is now in concussion protocol after being evaluated by medical staff. He has served exclusively on special teams, so his absence won't impact the Panthers' secondary much for the rest of Sunday's game.

Panthers' Robert Rochell: Past ankle issue
Rochell (ankle) was not listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Rochell sustained an ankle injury during the Panthers' Week 16 win over the Buccaneers. The injury prevented him from returning to the game, but his lack of a designation for Wednesday's practice puts him on track to play against the Seahawks on Sunday. The fifth-year corner has served solely on special teams and has logged four tackles (two solo) over the Panthers' last three games.

The Panthers signed Rochell off the Cowboys' practice squad Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Cowboys' Robert Rochell: Resurfaces with Cowboys
Rochell agreed to terms Wednesday on a one-year deal with Dallas, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Rochell began the offseason with a brief stint in Kansas City, but he was let go by the Chiefs shortly after the 2025 NFL Draft. He'll now compete for a depth role in the Cowboys' secondary. Between 2023 and 2024 in Green Bay, Rochell suited up for 20 regular-season games and contributed almost entirely on special teams.

Robert Rochell: Let go by Kansas City
The Chiefs waived Rochell on Monday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Rochell inked a one-year deal with Kansas City in late March, but the team's 2025 rookie class seems to have made his spot on the roster redundant. The cornerback played a notable role on special teams for Green Bay in 2023 and 2024, in which span he suited up for 20 regular-season games.

Chiefs' Robert Rochell: Links up with Kansas City

Rochell suited up for 20 combined regular-season games with the Packers in 2023 and 2024, playing 233 snaps on special teams and just one snap on defense. He'll now compete to carve out a similar reserve role with Kansas City.

Robert Rochell: Dropped by Green Bay
The Packers waived Rochell (neck) on Monday.
Rochell sustained a stinger in the Packers' Week 5 win over the Rams, but after getting cut Monday without an injury designation, it appears he's moved past the issue. The Central Arkansas product appeared in three games for the Packers this season, recording one tackle across 34 special-teams snaps. Rochell could very well end up back on Green Bay's practice squad if he clears waivers.
