Harrison was diagnosed with a right quadriceps strain after exiting Thursday's 17-0 win over Cleveland in the second inning, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. He drew a walk and scored a run over his lone plate appearance.
Manager Bob Melvin said after the contest that Harrison is considered day-to-day, and the Athletics are hopeful that the injury isn't significant. Tony Kemp came off the bench to replace Harrison and would be in store for an increased role if Harrison ends up missing time.
