Braun (calf) will probably have "a multi-week downtime" for his current stint on the 10-day disabled list, though he's improving day-to-day, MLB Network Radio reports.
General manager David Stearns provided the update and echoed the conservative management of their star that Milwaukee has espoused for most of 2017. That goes double for resting Braun as long as possible now that Milwaukee surprisingly finds itself atop the NL Central. They'll want to conserve him to either use him as a key to making a playoff push or as a trade piece should they falter and go back to rebuilding. Either way, Milwaukee will continue to piece together his replacements in left field, with Hernan Perez and Eric Sogard gaining the most fantasy value as near everyday players in his stead.
