Sampson was placed on the restricted list Monday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Sampson is unvaccinated and will be unable to accompany the Cubs during their three-game road trip in Toronto this week. However, the right-hander started Sunday's game against the Brewers and shouldn't be forced to miss any turns through the rotation. He tentatively lines up to make his next start Sunday against the Cardinals.
