Ryan cleared waivers Tuesday and will join Triple-A Iowa, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
The lefty appeared in just three games for the Cubs, allowing one earned run in 2.2 innings pitched. Ryan was a very effective reliever in 2019 and may return to the big-league roster at some point if a spot opens up.
