Diamondbacks' Bryan Holaday: Lands with Arizona

Holaday signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Monday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Holaday has been a depth piece for most of his career, and that's probably what he'll be this season, as he's likely behind Carson Kelly, Stephen Vogt and Daulton Varsho in the Diamondbacks' catcher depth chart. Holaday has hit just .238/.283/.333 over his nine-year career and hit a miserable .161/.212/.194 in limited action for the Orioles last season.
