Diamondbacks' Riley Smith: Cast off 40-man roster

Smith was outrighted to Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Smith made a career-high 24 appearances (six starts) in the majors last year but sputtered to a 6.01 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 67.1 innings. He'll now lose his spot on the 40-man roster ahead of the 2022 campaign.
