Dodgers' Pedro Baez: Beginning rehab assignment Friday

Baez (thumb) is set to start a rehab assignment Friday with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.

Baez was hit by a comebacker in spring training, but the reliever could return to the majors sometime in the coming days. If he performs well, he'll probably reclaim an important role in closer Kenley Jansen's setup crew.
