Giants' Andrew Knapp: Clears waivers

Knapp cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Knapp was designated for assignment Tuesday, but he'll remain in the organization after he went unclaimed on waivers. Over 47 games at the Triple-A level this year, he's hit .259 with 12 home runs, 36 RBI and 25 runs.
